Wow. This is some serious conviction. Today live in the moment! A lot of us never take the time to realize how good life is. We fail to see that our worries (the things we can't control) are dictating our lives! Your feeling has EVERYTHING to do with how your life will go and if you spend all of your energy on things you can't control you will be one sad pup. LET IT GO!!!!! It IS as easy as it sounds.

Accept the things you can not change and push forward. The better you feel today the more you will accomplish. So today set your mind on those things that are good to you. What excites you? What are you passionate about? release those thoughts in to your mind and practice ignoring every bad emotion or thought.

Next, give. Simple as that. This helps you to get your mind off of your own issues and helps you to sow in order to reap something in return. An example is a simple text to a friend or family member who you struggle to keep in touch with. Send them a empowering message. This will make you feel encouraged also and whats SOOO dope is that the person you send it to may just get the "inspiration bug" and do the same for someone else (the chain has begun). This is the way one person can change the world daily!!!!!

How many times have you began to see your bank account decline and gotten worried. You begin to think about all of the things that you didn't even need and regret all of your random purchases. What would help is if you'd simply write out your needs first. Next, Handle them— first! Then see if you have any to play with.
Another thing that helps is to question yourself. Ask yourself a second time, "Do I really want these?' A lot of times you'll realize that you make purchases based off of your environment and not yourself. This is true for all of us. We live in a society that tells us what we need instead of letting us figure it out for ourselves.
Think about this, if all the billboards were blank and there was no such thing as commercials or product placement would you "need" your Starbucks or Redbull in the morning? Would you "need" those Nikes to run during your afternoon workout? Where would you be without Burger King?

This photo was taken by JT of closetstudio.net after he walked through them.....BLINDFOLDED! Two guys guided his feet through the traps while he depended on them to make sure he didn't get hurt. The significance of this was to remind him to walk by faith, not by sight.

That's how we have to live daily. We don't know what God has for us or why He has us in the position He does. Just remember that if you depend on Him, He will guide your feet so that you don't get hurt.

So today, FEAR NOT! He had a plan for you since the beginning of time (don't take that sentence lightly). He knows where He wants you to be and He will not forsake you. Lean not on your own understanding but in all ways acknowledge Him. He is real and he has a plan for your life.

How beautiful it is that we have a choice of what art means to us! During a conversation about the lyrics to Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" with a close friend, the original meaning might as well been thrown out of the window. We partook in a few conclusions that fit a whole heck of a lot better in our opinion.

Many times the lyrics of a song may be poetic or perhaps even blunt, but the original meaning for the artist's choice of words maybe misinterpreted. This can be a great thing! The Ugly Truth

The truth is a funny thing (not really). It convicts us and a lot of times that doesn't feel good at all. When we hear something that we know is true our instinct is to shy away from it because of the the feeling it gives us. We dislike ourselves, fear facing giants and continue to hurt others because we don't acknowledge the truth. Today, do the opposite. It's healthy for us to see the ugly truth about ourselves in order to figure out a solution. When we deny problems they can grow larger, but if we face them we can cut them off before they get out of hand. When we FINALLY have faced the ugly truth we will see how beautiful it actually is.

Are there any problems in your life that you've decided to tend to at a later date. DON'T PROCRASTINATE! We are not promised tomorrow! If you face your giant you will eventually unlock a freedom like never before. Be honest with yourself! It's the first step to releasing your burdens.

The Gospel

In a swift moment life has the ability to change. We can be on cloud 9 one minute and in hell the next. We are humans! We’re going to go through! But as we go through we have to keep our minds focused on something GREATER than us, otherwise we will NOT make it through! Gospel music speaks of this greatness.

So many times in Gospel you hear the singer yelling, you see them stomping or even dancing. You may even ask yourself is this necessary? The answer is simply yes.

There are those moments when we are weak and in need RIGHT NOW! We are hurt and frustrated RIGHT NOW! We need a word of encouragement! We need something stronger than ourselves!

This energy that you see in the three videos is the energy it takes for us to be strong and believe that we’ll make it through! It’s the energy needed to feel comfort and have absolute faith in a higher power that we can’t always see!

Take It To The Streets.

During trips to Chicago and New York we came across some of the most phenomenal street art. First in Chicago on a visit to see Brock Wisely of www.vividbraille.com we were inspired by a message telling us to try harder to love. Let that soak in for a minute....

Our trip to New York was more than expected. We ran into a true street artist using the ground as his canvas and sand as his medium. Pouring sand from his hand in complex patterns he managed to wow an audience with his temporary pieces. Being that we were on a limited time schedule, Doni W. of www.livluxmag.com was so nice as to send us the pictures that we couldn't take at the time.

Today think about your craft. Whatever that may be. If it's cooking, singing, drawing, mentoring, WHATEVER! Do it like YOU! The artist shown are perfecting what they do and we can respect it because they are the ONLY people that can think how they think. God gave you your brain and not your neighbors. Thank Him for that.

Articulating Life Through Sound

Hearing a sound has the ability to change us in the moment. A morning bird chirp might remind us that we've been blessed to see another day. A certain ring tone from that special person might comfort us and make us smile. A simple giggle from someone might be all we need to see a situation totally different. This is why music is so great! It is all of these things!

Have you ever heard a song that you loved and for that second everything was right with the world? Have you ever heard a song that told your story and helped you through a specific issue? No one ever says "I hate music", although they may not like a particular song.

Mr. Rogers is boring as hell!...and I love every minute of it. In this video he shows that if we can own our emotions and continue to show our neighbors love even when they treat us wrong one of two things will occur. They will either see that we are genuine in our kindness and eventually change they’re hard hearts or they won’t, but we will still be happy with ourselves. Mr. Rogers’s GENUINE kindness to this man + his utter passion for what he believed and desired = A show that most of us have had the pleasure of viewing to this day. He went to congress with not a dime and left with 20 million dollars. What would you go before congress for? What cause do you feel most passionate about? How To Perfect Your Craft

"As a magician I think everything is possible", says David Blaine. But honestly, shouldn't we all? Shouldn't we search for answers not ceasing until we are satisfied? David Blaine is a person who does. From trapping himself in ice for three days to enclosing himself in an elevated plexiglass box for 40+ days, he is a true example of questioning the answers we've been given. In the video above he then goes on to explain that what he does is "practice, training and experimenting". Truthfully these are key aspects that we need in life in order to reach our ultimate goals. He shows us time and time again how we can obtain whatever we want in the world by having a desire and a willingness to continue using these traits.

Practice - This helps us to perfect our craft. The more we do something the better we get at it.

Training - When we train we learn the correct way to do what we've practiced in order to reach our goals.

Experimenting - If we allow fear to paralyze us we won't experiment. Experimenting shows our faith as well as our patients and burning desire to get the results we want. If we do not experiment we won't gain the time needed to grow in our craft.

This Saturday at The Buckham Gallery Downtown Flint Michigan, JT of Closet Studio and Brandon Corder of http://www.bcorderbeats.com/ will be throwing an event to celebrate art and music. The idea for "THIS IS THE REMIX" came when Doni W. of http://www.livluxmag.com/ and the guys were out to lunch earlier this year. Thinking of different ways JT' and Corder could display they're love for music JT decided to "remix" album covers from some of today's most influential artist while Corder produced a classic soundtrack to go along with the event. On the soundtrack you can hear a lot of the artist that will be on display at the show.

Flint's own Tunde and Stephanie Munerlyn of http://www.thebreachhouse.com/ will take the stage to perform they're versions of songs by Justin Timberlake, MIA and a few other leading artist in the music industry.

It's Definitely amazing how a discussion between friends can rise to be something that a whole community of people look forward to and are inspired by. What can you do that inspires others today?
